The Arc de triomphe de l'Etoile in Paris

Construction of the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile was ordered in 1806 by Napoleon Ist who approved Chalgrin's design. It was not however achieved until 1836, because of the Restauration, when the Bourbons came back to the throne. Its height is 50m (164ft)
